One of the best things about fall is the lipstick! I am loving this new DEEP burgundy shade from Chanel (part of their Vamp collection that just hit counters)… it’s beautiful! I am already pulling out my faux fur clutch from last season… I’d wear it year round if I knew no one would give me the side-eye for carrying fur when it is 110 degrees
outside in July. Not that I REALLY care, but it does start to stick to you in the heat (and that is a little bit gross). Any chance to wear olive green… I will jump (seriously, it’s a little sad) at it! This Banana Republic trench dress has proved so versatile! I enjoy it as a dress, and it is just as good when worn as a light jacket. I bought my normal size, and could’ve sized down… but I kind of like the loose fit.My jeans are also from Banana (I’ve been picking up some great pieces from here lately!), and they are fun with heels or with some slip on sneakers. They have a mid-rise at the waist, which I am really into right now… not quite a “mom jean” but also not one to give you “plumber’s crack” lol… I know y’all get my drift! Steve Madden’s Slithur style appealed to me because I am admittedly a bit obsessed with Sergio Rosi’s puzzle sandal, but am less obsessed with the price point. The blush color on these is a perfect nude for my skin for my skin tone (just a little bit pink). They are also surprisingly comfy for a 4″ heel.
This season I subscribed to Rachel Zoe’s box of style… turns out it was a big win for me! I loved several items in the box, making it a great investment! The Cluse watch is one of the absolute best things! I have ordered 2 additional strap colors since receiving the black and grey (with the rose gold face) as a part of her box. I ordered… you guessed it! Olive green suede and pale pink leather straps. I have worn almost every single day since it arrived in early September.
I am still stuck on the same hero products I detailed in this post from last fall/winter… see more info here. They have helped my hair hold a wave, and have a little texture so it isn’t always FLAT. For my makeup, I have recently switched it up a little. I am now using a creme bronzer under my powder for a more subtle glow/contour. I am very happy with the results, it looks more natural, and it wears better on my skin with the weather changes. When your skin is dry, it will often try to pull moisture out of your makeup. This can result in splotchy bronzer/blush patches.
This is my ideal outfit right now, I feel comfortable in it, yet still feel chic and pulled together. Thanks so much for stopping by! You can shop my look with the links below. XO Sara
